Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Scribe Tech for a seasonal role in our urgent care network in New York. The position focuses on accurate documentation of patient visits in the EMR and assisting physicians with basic patient care during shifts that run 8–12 hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; degree is a plus.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program and/or phlebotomy certifications a plus; training provided.
• Friendly and professional with excellent bedside manner.
• Flexible with full-time work schedule including a weekend day.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• English language skills required.
• High attention to detail; passion for helping others.
• Team player with strong organizational skills.
• Knowledge of third-party payor requirements preferred.
• Able to work independently with good problem solving and communication.
• Computer proficiency is required.
• Positive attitude and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
• Bilingual language skills preferred based on-site location.
• BLS certification required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician with basic patient care and procedures.
