Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager for a hands-on, on-site leadership role at a rural summer camp. This seasonal contract runs May through September, with full-time, exempt duties and a live-in setup.

You will supervise kitchen operations, staff, budgeting, and allergen safety in a fast-paced camp environment. Responsibilities include staffing, food prep, portion control, allergy protocols, inventory management, and liaison with campers and Wolfoods leadership.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Manager Certified with Allergens requirement (company-sponsored).

Responsibilities

• Operations & Leadership: lead, schedule, and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy environment.
• Culinary & Quality Excellence: manage operational flow, portions, menu specs, scratch cooking, and timely meal service.
• Allergen & Safety Compliance: manage allergy protocols (Kosher, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan) and sanitation standards.
• Administration & Budget: oversee inventory, orders, budgets, and daily reporting.
• Client Relations: act as liaison between kitchen, campers, camp leadership, and Wolfoods office.
