Job summary

Wolfoods, Inc. is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at our rural summer camp facilities.

You will oversee all prep and production for a designated day part, manage staff, and ensure strict allergen safety while maintaining high culinary standards. This on-site, live-in position operates in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with a demanding 6-day/70-hour work week during the May–September contract.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch cooking experience.
• Experience managing kitchen operations in a high-volume environment.
• Knowledge of allergen protocols and health/safety standards.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and high energy.
• Oversee prep, production, portion control, and meal service timing.
• Strictly manage allergen protocols and sanitation standards.
• Monitor inventory and assist with daily reporting and budgeting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen, campers, and camp leadership.
