Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking a Kitchen Manager for a hands-on, on-site leadership role at our rural summer camps. You will oversee daily culinary operations, staff scheduling, budgeting, and allergen safety in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.

This seasonal contract runs May through September, requires living on-site, and demands a minimum 6-day, 70-hour work week with a commitment to quality and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Manager Certified with Allergens knowledge required before start date; company-sponsored.
• Strong leadership, budgeting, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Operations & Leadership: Lead, schedule, and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy environment.
• Culinary & Quality Excellence: Manage culinary flow, portions, menu specs, scratch cooking, and timely service.
• Allergen & Safety Compliance: Enforce allergy protocols and maintain sanitation standards.
• Administration & Budget: Handle inventory, orders, budgets, and daily reporting.
• Client Relations: Liaise between kitchen, campers, camp leadership, and Wolfoods office.
