Job summary

Sur La Table is seeking a Seasonal Kitchen Assistant in Kirkland, WA to support chefs during classes, engage with guests, and maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment. The role emphasizes hospitality, teamwork, and delivering an exceptional guest experience while helping drive class enrollment and revenue.

The position offers part-time hours with a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, and requires 16+ age, food handling certification, and prior retail or kitchen experience.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• 1 year retail sales experience, preferred.
• 1 year food prep and/or kitchen operations experience, preferred.
• Valid Food Handlers Certification.

Responsibilities

• Represent Sur La Table’s brand by creating memorable, educational experiences for guests.
• Assist chefs with class execution to drive high enrollment and positive feedback.
• Meet or exceed monthly class revenue goals and contribute to store revenue.
• Set up and breakdown of classes, organize mise en place, prep ingredients, and clean workstations.
• Maintain food safety standards and inventory control.
