Job summary

Sur La Table is seeking a Seasonal Kitchen Assistant to support chefs, engage guests, and maintain a clean, organized kitchen during classes and events. You will help deliver a welcoming guest experience and assist with mise en place, prep, and service in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, culinary support, and strong guest interaction. Availability includes evenings and weekends on a seasonal schedule; prior food prep and retail experience is valued.

Qualifications

• 1 year retail sales experience preferred.
• 1 year food prep and/or kitchen operations experience preferred.
• Valid Food Handlers Certification.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Passion for community engagement and providing exceptional customer experiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and retail systems preferred.

• Maintains expertise by staying current on products, actively engaging in available training, and independently seeking out additional resources.
