Job summary

Hot Topic, Inc. is seeking a Seasonal Key Holder to support the store leadership team in delivering an engaging experience for fans. Leverage product knowledge, train new recruits, and help meet sales targets while you assist with daily operations.

You will lead on the sales floor, participate in opening/closing, manage register transactions, and ensure visual standards. A retail background and strong communication will help you excel in this fast-paced, music- and pop culture–driven environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a retail environment; passion for music and pop culture.
• Strong customer service and selling skills.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Excellent collaboration, communication, and leadership abilities.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds and work a schedule including opening/closing.

Responsibilities

• Provide an amazing shopping experience that will encourage customers to return.
• Support store leadership and run the store when the manager is away.
• Help drive sales by meeting KPIs such as UPT and ADT.
• Cover the sales floor and maintain visual standards; assist with opening/closing of the store.
• Process sales at the register and communicate shortages or overages to the Store Manager.
• Assist with planogram changes including store map, wall, fixtures, and merchandising mix.
• Share fashion and music trend information with management and HQ partners.
• Help prevent theft and ensure proper store security practices.
• Maintain stock room organization and store tidiness.
• Train and coach new Sales Associates as needed.
• Other activities as assigned by the Store Leader.
