Job summary

The Salvation Army North & Central Illinois Division is seeking a Christmas Kettle Assistant to support bell ringing and related logistics for the annual Christmas campaign. The role involves data entry, scheduling routes, and coordinating kettle operations across sites in Champaign, IL.

Candidates should be able to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, and must pass background checks. Local travel is required; temporary position through December 24th.

Qualifications

• Must have good moral character and be able to interact in a friendly and compassionate manner.
• Must pass pre-employment background inquiry and annual motor vehicle check with a valid driver’s license.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; significant customer service experience may be considered in lieu of education.

Responsibilities

• Data entry and use of the Territorial platform (Register to Ring) to coordinate kettle sites and daily routes.
• Assist with transportation of kettles and bell ringers to locations.
• Answer kettle operations inquiries from bell ringers, sites, and drivers.
• Ensure kettle issues are addressed with corps officers.
• Sort kettle funds and deliver to the bank as needed.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere and professional communication.
