Job summary

The Salvation Army in Danville, IL is seeking a Kettle Assistant to support bell ringing and logistics for our annual Christmas campaign. This temporary role helps us mobilize kettle sites efficiently and deliver compassionate service to volunteers and the community.

You will coordinate kettle sites, schedule daily routes, enter kettle totals, and assist with transportation of kettles and bell ringers. Local travel is required; position runs through December 24 with a strong team environment and

Qualifications

Must have high school diploma or equivalent; significant customer service experience considered in lieu of education.
Ability to interact in a friendly, compassionate manner and promote The Salvation Army mission.
Pass pre-employment background inquiry and annual motor vehicle check with a valid driver’s license.
Able to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays; comfortable with kettle management systems.

Responsibilities

Data entry and use of the Territorial platform to coordinate kettle sites and daily routes.
Assist with transportation of kettles and bell ringers to assigned locations.
Answer inquiries from kettle ringers, sites, drivers, and others; field kettle operations questions.
Work with corps officers to address kettle issues and ensure compliance with Safe from Harm policies.
Sort kettle funds and deliver to the bank as needed; maintain a positive work atmosphere.
Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor; maintain professional communication.
