Job summary

The Salvation Army in Danville, IL is hiring a Christmas Kettle Assistant to support bell ringing and logistics for our annual campaign. You will handle data entry, route scheduling, kettle totals, and payroll for bell ringers.

This temporary position runs through December 24th, requires flexibility for days, evenings, weekends and holidays, and reports to Corps Officer(s). A High School Diploma or equivalent is required along with strong customer service and the ability to work with diverse

Qualifications

• High moral character and friendly, compassionate interaction.
• Pass pre-employment background inquiry and motor vehicle check with a valid license.
• HS Diploma or equivalent; customer-service experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Data entry and use of the Register to Ring platform to coordinate kettle sites and routes; enter kettle totals daily; payroll for paid bell ringers; thank volunteers.
• Assist with transportation of kettles and bell ringers to locations.
• Field kettle operation inquiries from bell ringers, sites, and drivers.
• Work with corps officers to address kettle issues.
• Sort kettle funds and deliver to the bank when needed.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere with professional communication and conflict management.
• Maintain compliance with Safe from Harm certification.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Local travel may be required.
