Job summary

The Salvation Army Northern Division is seeking a Kettle Campaign Coordinator to manage the day-to-day operations of the Red Kettle Campaign in Winona County. This seasonal, part-time role supports hiring, onboarding, scheduling, timekeeping, route coordination, and data entry to ensure smooth kettle operations.

Evening and weekend work is required, with a salary of $15 per hour for 25 hours per week through December 2026.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience coordinating employees, volunteers, schedules, or similar operations preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet Salvation Army motor vehicle record requirements.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage changing schedules and priorities.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills with employees, volunteers, donors, businesses, and the public.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and the ability to learn job-related systems.
• Dependable and professional, with good judgment and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Hiring and onboarding of seasonal bell ringers and kettle drivers; provide orientation and training regarding job responsibilities, campaign procedures, safety expectations, and The Salvation Army’s mission.
• Timekeeping and payroll support: Review and maintain accurate timekeeping records for seasonal employees; follow up on missing or inaccurate information and submit records according to established payroll timelines and procedures.
• Scheduling and daily coordination: Develop and communicate daily schedules for employees and volunteers; respond to call-offs, scheduling conflicts, and coverage needs.
• Kettle operations and site support: Coordinate placement, pickup, and movement of kettles and related equipment; visit kettle locations to support employees and volunteers.
• Data entry and campaign tracking: Maintain campaign records and enter data related to kettle activity, staffing, collections, and other required information.
• Route and operational support: Assist with kettle routes, deliveries, pickups, and staffing coverage as needed to support daily campaign operations.
