Job summary

Eataly, a premier Italian food marketplace, seeks a Line Cook to transform high-quality ingredients into authentic Italian dishes in its bustling open kitchen. You will prepare, cook, and plate dishes, following recipes and health regulations under the supervision of the Sous Chef Manager or Chef de Cuisine.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in food prep, strong knife skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a food preparation position.
• Good knife skills and finger dexterity to use small tools and utensils adeptly.

Responsibilities

• Portions, cuts, slices, dips, batters, breads, whips, beats; maintains holding temperature; fries and sautés.
• Selects cuts of meat, poultry, shellfish, fish, game or vegetables for frying or sautéing.
• Plates menu items with appropriate garnish.
• Follows recipes and complies with portion sizes, quality standards and health regulations.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.
