Job summary

Ski Cooper in Leadville, CO is seeking an IT Tech II to maintain computer systems and networks with a focus on reliability. The role trains users and supports a robust IT infrastructure in a ski-resort setting.

You will install hardware, configure software, manage servers, and support offsite VPS while being on-site 2-3 days a week during the season. A IT/Systems degree and strong diagnostic skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18+ with valid driver’s license.
• College degree in IT/Systems or equivalent experience.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication ability.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Working knowledge of Windows Server; Windows 11; Active Directory; Group Policy; cPanel/WHM; MS SQL; Docker; Microsoft Office; TCP/IP networking; POS systems; wireless links (5ghz, 2.4ghz, 900mhz); ability to learn new software and databases.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure hardware and software per company needs.
• Check hardware and peripherals for functionality and repair as needed.
• Develop and maintain local networks to optimize performance.
• Ensure security and privacy of networks and information systems.
• Provide user orientation and guidance on new software and equipment.
• Schedule upgrades and maintenance without hindering work.
• Troubleshoot to diagnose and repair issues.
• Maintain logs and maintenance schedules.
• Perform server configuration and maintenance as required.
• Maintain, monitor, and support offsite web VPS.
• Identify shortages and submit requisitions as needed.
• Develop solutions for ski resort-specific needs.
• Be on-site 2-3 days per week during the season.
• Handle any other tasks assigned.
