Job summary

Michaels is seeking a Store Associate to deliver friendly customer service in a fast-paced retail environment in Alexandria, VA. You will help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions while handling cash at the register and promoting rewards programs.

You’ll support omni-channel activities (BOPIS, SFS) and participate in truck unloading, stocking, and merchandising to keep the store well-stocked and inviting. Evening and weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy boxes as part of daily duties.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions
• Provide fast, friendly checkout with cash handling to standards
• Engage customers on the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Card enrollments
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including BOPIS and SFS
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POG) processes
• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance including returns and go-backs
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties
• Support shrink and safety programs
• Adhere to SOPs and company policies
• Interact respectfully with others and be a role model
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production
