Job summary

Michaels is seeking a Store Associate at our Bakersfield, CA location. You will help customers shop, locate products, and provide quick, friendly checkout, including accurate cash handling. You will support omnichannel processes, stock duties, and store recovery to keep shelves well-merchandised and in stock.

Applicants should have retail or customer service experience and be able to stand long hours. Must be 16 or older; evenings, nights and weekends required.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred
• Must be able to stand for long periods
• Sixteen years of age or older required

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in-store, help locate products and provide solutions
• Provide fast, friendly checkout with cash handling to standards
• Promote and enroll customers in Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards
• Educate customers about VOC surveys and Omni channel processes (BOPIS/SFS)
• Stock, unload trucks, and maintain planograms (POGs) and in-stock conditions
• Support store recovery, shrink control, and safety programs
