Job summary

Jackson Hewitt - AGD is seeking a Seasonal Assistant District Manager to lead a district of twenty or more stores during the tax season. You’ll develop leadership capabilities and gain hands-on experience in recruitment, training, operations, and profitability.

In this full-time seasonal role, starting October 5, 2026, and ending April 24, 2027, you will work with District Manager to optimize revenue, supervise teams, and ensure compliance across locations while building brand awareness and

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent related business experience.
• 2 years of management or supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
• Tax knowledge preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license.
• Proficiency with Dayforce, Excel, Word.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multi-unit retail locations in the district; partner with District Manager to optimize operations, revenue and profitability.
• Lead recruiting and interview processes for seasonal staff; manage tax education and onboarding.
• Monitor performance to ensure quality standards, deadlines, and procedures; coordinate with HR on training and employee relations.
• Ensure locations meet company standards for office setup, tech setup, and facilities; coordinate with property managers for actions.
• Build business by retaining and attracting clients and raising brand awareness.
• Resolve client questions or complaints regarding policies and procedures.
• Guide employees in handling complex problems and escalations.
• Monitor financials (GL & P&L) and productivity; achieve district goals.
