Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. in Edison, NJ seeks a customer-focused team member to deliver friendly service, resolve returns, support order pickup, and process transactions using POS systems. You will mentor new hires on the register and build trust with customers and teammates every day.

Hours vary, including evenings and weekends. You will promote Nordstrom Loyalty and new tools to enhance both customer and employee experiences while ensuring privacy and compliance in all interactions.

Qualifications

• Strong ability to build relationships with customers, peers, and leaders.
• Proficiency in multiple operating systems such as MS Windows, iOS and Android.
• Clear, effective communication and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to train and deliver POS/register training to support onboarding of new hires.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong ownership, accountability, and follow-through.
• Physical Requirements: continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift with lifting up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Deliver seamless, friendly service by understanding customer needs and owning interactions from start to finish.
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer concerns with empathy and a solutions-focused approach.
• Accurately process transactions and ticketing using POS and store systems.
• Build relationships with teammates and contribute to a positive, team-focused environment.
• Protect the security and privacy of customer information through education and compliance.
• Promote initiatives such as Nordstrom Loyalty and new tools that enhance the experience.
