Job summary

Michaels Stores is seeking a Store Associate at the Lexington, KY location. You will help customers, stock shelves, and manage checkout with a friendly, efficient approach. The role supports omnichannel processes like BOPIS and SFS and involves merchandising duties across the store.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, promoting the Rewards program, and participating in truck unloads and shelf replenishment. Strong customer service and reliability are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and move throughout the store.
• Able to lift heavy boxes and reach high shelves, with ladder assistance.
• Availability for nights, weekends and early mornings.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide a fast, friendly checkout experience and cash handling to standards.
• Promote Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and enroll customers.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey and omnichannel processes.
• Assist with Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POG) processes.
• Maintain in-stock appearance, handle merchandise returns/go-backs, and support store recovery.
• Perform In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
• Support shrink and safety programs; adhere to SOPs and company policies.
• Interact with customers and colleagues professionally, modeling Michaels' values.
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
