Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. is seeking a customer service-focused team member to enhance the in-store experience in Lynnwood, WA. You will engage customers, resolve returns, support order pickup, and process transactions accurately while mentoring new employees on the register.

You'll thrive in a fast-paced, team-driven environment, building trust with customers and teammates, and contributing to a positive store culture. Hours include evenings and weekends to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Strong ability to build relationships with customers, peers, and leaders.
• Clear, effective communication and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to train and deliver POS/register training to support onboarding of new hires.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong ownership, accountability, and follow-through.
• Physical requirements: continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing and reaching to handle merchandise and assist customers.
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
• Handle bulky items and lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Deliver seamless, friendly service by understanding customer needs and owning interactions from start to finish, whether resolving returns and exchanges, or supporting order and pickup inquiries.
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer concerns with empathy, sound judgment, and a solutions-focused approach.
• Accurately process transactions and ticketing using POS and store systems to support inventory accuracy.
• Build relationships with teammates and contribute to a positive, team-focused environment.
• Protect the security and privacy of customer information through education, compliance and resolution of issues.
• Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Loyalty program, along with new tools, software, and services that enhance the customer and employee experience.
