Job summary

Michaels Columbia, MO is seeking a friendly Store Associate to help customers find products, provide solutions, and deliver a fast, cheerful checkout experience.

You will participate in truck unloading, stocking, planograms, and in-store recovery, while learning the rewards program and omnichannel services such as BOPIS and SFS.

All team members follow SOPs, uphold safety standards, and promote Michaels values while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards
• Engage customers on the rewards program and private label credit cards and complete enrollments
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes
• Maintain in-stock and well-merchandised store; complete merchandise recovery and go-back process
• Support shrink and safety programs and adhere to SOPs and company standards
• Interact with customers professionally and be a positive role model for team members
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production
