Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at our rural summer camps across the United States. This on-site, live-in position requires you to oversee all prep and production for designated day parts, manage staff, and enforce allergen safety and sanitation standards.

With a 6-day, 70-hour work week, this full-room-and-board offer accompanies a competitive pay scale and a bonus structure during the duration of the contract.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.
• Strong leadership, cooking, able to navigate iPad, versatile with ingredients, and sharp problem-solving abilities.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, work in hot/cold kitchen settings, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to live on-site in a rustic setting and commit to a demanding 6-day/70-hour week.

Responsabilités

• Operations & Leadership: Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Culinary & Quality Excellence: Manage operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking, and timely meal service.
• Allergen & Safety Compliance: Enforce allergen protocols and sanitation standards.
• Administration & Budget: Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Client Relations: Liaise between kitchen, campers, and camp leadership.
