Job summary

Bluemercury, the luxury beauty brand under Macy's, is seeking a Seasonal Beauty Expert to drive sales through personalized client interactions and brand knowledge. You will build relationships, share product expertise across skincare, makeup, haircare, and fragrances, customize recommendations, and participate in in-store workshops.

Qualifications

• Focused on upholding dedication to diversity, inclusion, and respect in every store and with every customer.
• Proven experience in retail, preferably in the beauty industry.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Passion for beauty and staying updated with the latest trends and products.
• Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and evenings.
• High school diploma or equivalent; beauty certification is a plus.
• Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
• Self-motivated, stays current and supports operational excellence
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and share knowledge
• Resourceful and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities
• 1-2 years of direct experience is required
• Advanced authority and expertise in a specific brand is preferred

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain personalized relationships with customers in-store.
• Provide a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all clients.
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge of beauty products across skincare, makeup, haircare, and fragrances.
• Continuously update knowledge on the latest products and trends.
• Offer tailored product recommendations based on individual needs and skin types.
• Conduct product demonstrations and provide application tips.
• Drive sales by communicating product benefits and promotions.
• Inform customers about loyalty programs and upcoming events.
• Assist in stock management and maintain an organized store environment.
• Participate in in-store beauty workshops and share expertise with customers.
• Collect customer feedback on products and services and relay insights to management.
