Job summary

Bluemercury, a Macy’s, Inc. brand, seeks a Beauty Expert to elevate client experiences through exceptional service and deep product knowledge. You will build relationships, share expertise across skincare, makeup, haircare, and fragrances, and tailor recommendations to each client’s needs.

As a key team member, you’ll help drive sales, participate in workshops, and stay current with trends while maintaining a welcoming, inclusive store environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; beauty certification is a plus.
• Proven experience in retail, preferably beauty, with strong interpersonal skills.
• Passion for beauty and staying updated on trends and products.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Build Client Relationships: Develop personalized relationships with customers in a welcoming environment.
• Share Your Product Expertise: Maintain extensive knowledge of skincare, makeup, haircare, and fragrances.
• Customize Recommendations: Provide tailored product suggestions based on client needs and skin types; demonstrate products.
• Sales & Promotion: Drive sales by communicating benefits and promotions and informing customers about loyalty programs.
• Support Inventory Management: Assist in stock control and keep the store visually appealing.
• Participate in Educational Workshops: Lead or participate in in-store beauty workshops for customers.
• Share Feedback & Insights: Gather customer feedback and relay insights to management for improvement.
