Job summary

Bluemercury is seeking a Seasonal Beauty Expert to drive sales and deliver exceptional client service in our Cranston location. You will build lasting relationships, share expertise across skincare, makeup, haircare and fragrances, and tailor recommendations to individual clients while promoting loyalty programs and events.

You will support inventory, participate in workshops, and help create a welcoming, expert environment that reflects Bluemercury’s premium brand and Macy’s, Inc. standards.

Qualifications

• Retail experience, preferably in the beauty industry.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexible availability including weekends and evenings.
• High school diploma or equivalent; beauty certification is a plus.
• 1–2 years of direct experience is preferred.
• Advanced authority and expertise in a specific brand is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build client relationships with customers and create an inclusive atmosphere.
• Share extensive beauty product knowledge across skincare, makeup, haircare, and fragrances.
• Offer tailored recommendations and provide application tips.
• Drive sales through clear communication of product benefits and promotions.
• Assist in stock management and maintain an organized store environment.
• Participate in and occasionally lead in-store beauty workshops.
• Gather customer feedback for continuous improvement.
