Job summary

The Langham Chicago Bar is seeking a friendly bartender/server to provide high‑level service in a fast‑paced hotel setting. You will master beverage prep, assist guests with menu recommendations, and maintain spotless stations in line with Langham and Forbes standards.

Prior food and beverage experience is required; basic POS knowledge and strong English communication are essential. You will work on a team and contribute to exceptional guest experiences while adhering to safety rules.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of food and beverages preparation.
• Basic knowledge of POS systems.
• Basic English language writing skills for requisitions and vouchers.
• Manual dexterity to garnish, handle glassware and stock.
• Ability to read, speak and understand English for guest interaction.
• Ability to promote menu items.
• Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods.
• Operate beverage equipment (coffee maker, tea machines, etc).

Responsibilities

• Set up tables and maintain station cleanliness.
• Serve food and beverages to guests and assist with requests.
• Resolve guest complaints professionally.
• Maintain inventory and assist with stock.
• Follow health and safety procedures.
• Attend department meetings and work as part of a team.
