Sonic Systems International seeks an Automated UT Operator for the Fall 2026 Nuclear Outage Season in Houston, TX. Training begins in June 2026, with travel to outage sites, including Wilmington, NC and other locations.

The role involves operating automated UT systems, configuring setups, reviewing calibration sheets, and reading isometric drawings. UT Level II criteria must be met; a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel 3–12 weeks per outage are required.

Competenze

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
UT Level II (UT IIL) certification with min 40 hours classroom & lab, 215 hours OJT, 400 hours in any NDE discipline.

Mansioni

Operate automated UT systems and navigate UT software for examinations.
Build and review setups, calibration sheets, and key variables for examinations.
Read isometric drawings and navigate plant components (vessels, shrouds) for inspections.
Troubleshoot system failures and perform basic repairs; understand wireless and wired communications.
Travel 3–12 weeks per outage season, including training/testing at Houston, TX, San Jose, CA or Wilmington, NC.
Work long hours (10–12) and in high-stress environments; maintain safety and quality.
