Job summary

Sonic Systems International is seeking a Camera Technician to support nuclear outages. The role provides on-site maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting for imagery equipment used on the refuel floor.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with instrumentation repair, soldering, and analog/digital troubleshooting, plus proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Travel is required between specified outage windows.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance and repair of instrumentation.
• Soldering experience required.
• Experience with analog and digital electronic troubleshooting.
• Ability to utilize computers, power supplies, test equipment and radioactive sources for testing/calibration.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate processes and procedures.
• Dependability, attendance, and punctuality are essential.
• Ability to work independently and in a team with minimal supervision.
• Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Clean background with no outstanding/pending charges.
• Ability to pass drug and alcohol tests at time of hire and randomly.
• Valid driver's license; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot imagery equipment.
• Provide technical support to imagery equipment on the refuel floor.
• Support test, evaluation, maintenance, and calibration of fixed camera systems.
• Maintain accurate calibration records and documentation.
• Interact with operations, radiation protection, and management.
