Job summary

Sonic Systems International seeks a Nuclear Reactor Service Technician for 100% travel to nuclear power plants in the US, with some international travel. The role covers maintenance, fuel handling, and inspections during refueling outages, reporting to the Refuel Floor PM or Lead RF Engineer.

A high school diploma is required and nuclear experience is highly desired. Candidate must be able to work in a radioactive environment, lift up to 50 lbs, and pass required physicals and training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Nuclear experience preferred, specifically BWR.
• 3+ outages experience preferred.
• Proficient with computers for online training, communications, expense, and time entry.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, fuel handling, modification, and inspection during outages.
• Coordinate work with RF Engineers and report to Refuel Floor Project Manager.
• Operate Fuel Handling equipment and assist with core verifications.
• Work in a radioactive environment, wear protective clothing and follow procedures.
• Travel 100% to customer plant sites; typical outages 1-2 months.
