Dollar Tree, Inc. in Duluth, MN is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee daily store operations, deliver friendly customer service, and coach team members to achieve goals.

You will support opening and closing, merchandise organization, loss prevention, and adherence to company policies while ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming shopping environment for customers and colleagues. This is a part-time role in a busy retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Assist in organizing, transferring merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out trash, and ensuring neatness.
• Other duties as assigned.
