Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. in Alexandria, MN is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development.

You will assist with opening/closing, merchandise flow, scheduling, and loss prevention while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment. You will work closely with the Store Manager to supervise and train associates, ensure policy compliance, and deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks as needed
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment required
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills required

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise and loss prevention
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom
• Protect and secure all company assets including store cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff
• Maintain cleanliness and restock bathrooms and floors
