Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a on-site, live-in role at rural summer camp facilities across the United States. The position is a seasonal contract (May–Sept) with full-time, exempt status, demanding a minimum 6‑day/70‑hour workweek.

Responsibilities include leading kitchen staff, managing prep and production, enforcing allergen safety, inventory, and daily reporting while maintaining high service standards in a fast-paced camp environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date (company-sponsored).
• Strong leadership, cooking, capable with iPad, allergen identification, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee prep and production for designated day part and ensure timely meal service.
• Manage allergen safety protocols (Kosher, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan, etc.) and sanitation standards.
• Handle inventory management and assist with daily reporting.
• Act as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
