Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager to lead and oversee all prep and production for designated day parts at our on-site summer camps. You will manage staff, ensure allergen safety, and uphold top sanitation standards in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.

This on-site, live-in role requires a minimum 6-day, 70-hour week commitment and offers competitive seasonal pay with room & board, travel allowances, and opportunities to lead a dynamic camp kitchen team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.
• Strong leadership, cooking, able to navigate iPad, versatile with ingredients, able to Identify all Big 9 Allergens, and sharp problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking execution, and timely meal service.
• Strictly manage food allergy protocols (Kosher, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan, etc.) and maintain top Health Department sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as a liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
