Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking a Seafood Specialist to lead seafood department excellence, ensuring product freshness, proper rotation, and adherence to food safety standards. You will own inventory accuracy, merchandising presentation, and readiness for promotions while supporting guest engagement and department operations.

Ideal candidates have strong attention to detail, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a customer-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality operations.
• Strong attention to detail with organizational skills, ability to multitask, and work at a fast pace.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all seafood products meet freshness and quality standards, including proper rotation and dating.
• Execute planograms and maintain accurate product placement and signage.
• Coordinate with department leadership on ordering and replenishment of seafood items.
• Verify deliveries for accuracy and freshness, ensuring proper receiving and storage procedures.
• Play a key role in compliance during key item transitions and promotional events.
• Engage guests with a friendly, helpful approach when on the sales floor.
