Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking a Seafood Specialist to lead the seafood department, ensuring product freshness, proper rotation, and compliance with food safety standards while delivering hospitality and teamwork.

You will own seafood inventory accuracy, presentation, and readiness for promotions and seasonal events, while engaging guests with a friendly service approach in a fast-paced store.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality operations.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, multitasking, and fast pace.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Ensure seafood meets freshness and quality standards with proper dating.
• Execute planograms and maintain product placement and signage.
• Coordinate with leadership on ordering and replenishment of seafood items.
• Verify deliveries for accuracy and proper storage procedures.
• Play a key role in compliance during item transitions and promotions.
• Support front-end operations as cashier or in other areas.
• Engage guests with a friendly, helpful service on the sales floor.
