Job summary

ShopRite of Orange, CT is seeking a Seafood Manager to direct and supervise all functions of the Seafood Department, driving sales, profitability, customer experience, and staff engagement under the General Store Manager.

The role requires strong leadership, food safety knowledge, and the ability to lift up to 60 lbs, work in varying temperatures, and provide outstanding customer service. This is a full-time position with competitive hourly pay and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak English proficiently.
• Basic math skills required for everyday tasks.
• Ability to stand/walk for entire shift.
• Comfort with basic computer functions and data entry.
• Able to lift 25–60 lbs regularly and work with fresh or processed products.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and tolerate dust/cleaning agents.
• Able to climb ladders for overhead storage.
• Strong customer service orientation and teamwork.
• Ability to lead and engage associates to meet department goals.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all Seafood Department functions and staff.
• Achieve department goals for sales, profit, and customer experience.
• Enforce safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee scheduling, training, and onboarding of new associates.
• Maintain proper product freshness, pricing, and display standards.
• Lead by example to create a positive customer experience.
