Job summary

ShopRite of New Milford in New Jersey is seeking a Seafood Manager to oversee all functions of the Seafood Department, lead associates, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and drive sales and customer experience in alignment with company priorities.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on supervision, and the ability to perform under a fast-paced retail environment, with emphasis on safety, cleanliness, and engaging customers and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak English.
• Must be able to perform basic math.
• Must be able to stand/walk for shifts.
• Must be able to use basic computer functions.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Must be able to interact with Customers in a friendly and helpful way.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise the Seafood Department and staff to meet goals.
• Ensure safety, sanitation, and quality standards across the department.
• Maintain temperature logs and production sheets.
• Lead associates and promote a positive Customer Experience.
• Assist in training and onboarding new department staff.
• Manage department operations to achieve sales and profit targets.
