Job summary

ShopRite of Sussex/Wantage is seeking a Seafood Manager to direct all functions of the Seafood Department under the General Store Manager. You will lead associates, ensure product safety and quality, and drive sales while upholding our service priorities.

Key responsibilities include staff training, safety compliance, inventory control, and maintaining a superior customer experience in a fast-paced grocery environment.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and understand English.
• Proficient math skills required.
• Able to stand for long shifts and perform physical tasks.
• Basic computer literacy for operations and records.
• Regularly lift 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 60 lbs.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP principles.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to interact with customers.
• Ability to lead and engage associates to meet department goals.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all functions of the Seafood Department and its associates.
• Ensure safety, freshness, and quality of seafood products and compliance with company policies.
• Deliver excellent customer service and promote store promotions.
• Train, onboard, and coach department staff to meet performance goals.
• Maintain department organization, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance.
