ShopRite of Stratford in Stratford, CT is seeking a Seafood Manager to direct the Seafood Department and supervise associates to achieve sales, customer experience, and department goals. The role reports to the General Store Manager and requires leadership, strong safety practices, and hands-on supervision of daily operations.

You will ensure product freshness, maintain QA standards, train staff, and uphold our service priorities of safety, friendliness, presentation, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English clearly and accurately.
• Proficient in basic math for tills, pricing, and inventory.
• Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
• Physical stamina to stand, lift, and move products throughout shifts.
• Experience leading a team and training associates in a fast-paced environment.
• Awareness of HACCP/food safety practices and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all functions of the Seafood Department to meet sales and service goals.
• Coach and engage associates to deliver excellent customer experiences.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and product quality across the department.
• Train staff on proper handling, packaging, and display standards.
• Collaborate with store leadership to ensure efficient department execution.
