Qualifications

• Communication skills are essential for teamwork and customer service.
• Basic math for registers and inventory.
• Ability to handle stressful situations in a fast-paced store environment.
• Current food handler's permit is required upon employment.
• Adequate knife handling skills and knife speed for seafood cutting.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates by sharing information.
• Collaborate with team to achieve store goals.
• Schedule to manage customer volume during hours of operation.
• Train associates and participate in performance appraisals.
• Adhere to all laws, guidelines, and food safety regulations.
• Provide customer knowledge of products and offer samples to encourage discovery.
• Cut seafood to customers’ requests with proper equipment and provide ordered items.
• Plan and supervise inventory and department budget with store management.
• Suggest promotions and educate staff about in-store offers.
• Monitor expenses and financial reports for department profitability.
