Job summary

Halperns' Steak & Seafood in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Seafood Cutter to join our production team. You'll clean, cut, portion, and merchandize seafood products, following QC, HACCP, and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities include trimming, deboning, weighing, labeling, and ensuring portions meet customer specifications. Prior experience in seafood processing and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are preferred. High school diploma required; training provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Post high school or specialized training preferred.
• Minimum one year of professional fish/cutter experience.
• High-end seafood processing experience preferred.
• Must read and follow customer specs and QA procedures.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, trims, slices, debones, and portions seafood according to order specifications.
• Inspects and removes defects or blemishes from products.
• Reads and adheres to customer instructions and QC procedures.
• Performs quality control checks and communicates defects to supervisors.
• Separates portions into containers and weighs/labels accordingly.
• Operates knives and trimming equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintains clean work area and equipment hygiene.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
