Job summary

Scalar is hiring two SDRs to front the sales motion, joining alongside our first Solutions Engineer. You will learn from Marc and build the top-of-funnel conversations with engineering teams at companies with public APIs. This is a rare chance to shape a GTM engine in a small, hands-on team.

In-office in San Francisco, you’ll craft outbound and inbound strategies, turn API docs into outreach, and collaborate with our engineering-led customers. You’ll grow quickly with ambitious peers.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years SDR/BDR in B2B SaaS, ideally selling something technical.
• Short, specific, human emails, not long adjective-filled paragraphs.
• Technically curious about API, SDK, and MCP server, able to discuss credibly with engineers.
• Able to open API docs and point out useful details to trigger replies.

Responsibilities

• Outbound: build target company lists and craft targeted messages.
• Research: review a prospect's API docs to find a compelling angle.
• Inbound: qualify signups, open-source users, and docs traffic.
• Qualification: run first calls and hand over qualified meetings.
• Your tooling: leverage Apollo, Clay, HubSpot; automate busywork.
• Learning the category: gain OpenAPI, SDK, MCP fluency to talk with engineers.
