Panasonic Avionics Corporation in Irvine, CA seeks an SDET II to develop and execute automated and manual tests for complex software and hardware systems. The role emphasizes automation-first strategies, lab-based testing, and CI/CD integration.

You will define test data, build and maintain test environments, and collaborate with development teams to diagnose and fix issues, while contributing to robust test reports and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Responsabilités

• Support the development of test strategies, test plans, test environments, and reports for manual or automated testing.
• Define automation strategies, automation cases for functional, regression, and system testing of complex software and hardware systems.
• Review requirements for testability and define test data, manual and automated test strategies, with an automation first mindset
• Development, enhancement and deployment of automated functional tests, integration tests and system end-to-end tests through automation test frameworks.
• Development of manual tests to supplement automated tests.
• Integrate and maintain hardware / software test environments, including test racks.
• Execute test cases, test plans, test scenarios, and test scripts, validate results and provide first-tier triage for issues found during test execution.
• Document test results, issues found, and generate test reports.
• Collaborate with Test and Development teams to ensure root cause analysis and corrective actions for issues found during test execution
• Reproduce, debug, isolate and report issues and verify fixes.
• Evaluate and convert manual test cases into automated test cases.
• Work closely with Development and Test teams to transform testing into a CI/CD environment.
• Position involves working at test racks in a lab environment.
