Job summary

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited university; 12+ years of integration and testing experience in aerospace or safety-critical environments.
• Extensive experience with embedded software and hardware testing in avionics or flight-control systems.
• Strong hands-on Python development and test automation experience with automated regression test scripts/tools.
• Significant experience translating requirements into test cases, procedures, and automated scripts.
• 6+ years of DO-178/DO-178C experience or equivalent safety-critical software verification.
• Strong experience with SITL/HITL environments and test benches and with automation in these contexts.
• Experience with unit, component, integration, and system-level testing using VectorCAST or similar tools.
• Knowledge of DO-254 and safety-critical/redundant systems; familiarity with Ethernet, CAN, RS-232/422/485, MIL-STD-1553.
• Strong communication and technical leadership; ability to mentor engineers and provide direction.

Responsibilities

• Verify and validate safety-critical embedded flight software focusing on regression testing and automation.
• Translate requirements into test cases and automated Python scripts; cover functional, edge-case, and tolerance testing.
• Develop and maintain Python-based test automation, regression tools, and code-coverage utilities.
• Build and execute tests in SITL and HITL environments; transition tests from virtual to hardware benches.
• Review test cases, procedures, and scripts to ensure traceability and DO-178C compliance.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across software, hardware, and integration; collaborate with engineering teams.
