Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test for a 12-month contract in a hybrid setup in San Mateo and San Diego. You will support quality engineering for customer-facing applications, creating testing strategies, building test plans, and implementing automation to ensure reliability and user experience.

Responsibilities include developing and maintaining test automation frameworks, reporting defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent knowledge.
3+ years experience in UI automation for web or native applications.
Validated experience in software testing life cycle.
Experience with version control solutions (Git, SVN).
Experience maintaining CI systems (Jenkins).
Experience with Selenium or Appium.
Proficiency in Python.

Responsibilities

Review product requirements and design documents to create effective testing strategies.
Build concrete test plans, write test cases and execute them to ensure quality of features.
Implement and maintain test automation scripts to increase test coverage and stability.
Develop, maintain and improve test automation framework.
Report, track and verify defects as well as monitor Automation jobs.
Provide status reports to Leadership and other key partners.
Work with the infrastructure team to maintain common services such as CI test pipelines.
