Job summary

AV in California is seeking a Software QA Automation Engineer II to design automated solutions for mission systems software and to help maintain robust test infrastructure. You will regularly collaborate with development and system test teams with a good degree of autonomy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in QA automation.
• Experience building automation frameworks with Python or similar.
• Familiar with Linux, source control and CI pipelines (GitLab).
• Travel within Continental U.S. up to 20% may be required.

Responsibilities

• Design, expand and maintain automated test suites and frameworks.
• Contribute to isolated component, subsystem, and automated system tests.
• Define scope, resources, benchmarks and goals for QA work.
• Apply QA practices, procedures, and reporting.
• Support bug reporting, track software risks, and mitigation.
• Mentor entry level QA/QC team members on concepts and best practices.
• Design test plans and cases for new functionality and breakages.
• Analyze, program, debug, and modify test software for embedded systems.
• Collaborate with teams to validate software against project timelines.
