Job summary

Data Device Corporation is seeking a Test Engineer to design, develop, integrate, and maintain production test equipment for hybrid microelectronics and avionics tests. You will own projects from requirements through verification, collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure reliable test capabilities.

Role combines hands-on troubleshooting, test software development in VB/C/C++, and hardware/software integration to improve fault isolation and coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology (electronics) or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum three years of hands-on test engineering experience.
• Familiarity with electronic manufacturing and test of circuit card assemblies and hybrid electronics.
• Ability to develop or troubleshoot test software in Visual Basic, C#, or C++.
• Hands-on JTAG/boundary-scan implementation or troubleshooting experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production test equipment; diagnose root causes and minimize downtime.
• Develop, modify, and optimize automated test software using VB, C++, or C#.
• Troubleshoot CAN, I2C, GPIB, RS485/RS232, MIL-STD-1553 interfaces for unit under test.
• Develop and troubleshoot JTAG/boundary-scan tests to improve fault isolation.
• Create and maintain test procedures, validation records, and maintenance documentation.
• Plan and own work from requirements through verification and closeout; communicate delays and risks.
