Job summary

K2 Space in Los Angeles, CA seeks a Software Development Engineer, Test Platform to design and ship core test automation frameworks for the flight software stack. You will own automation tooling, CI/CD integration, and testing across multiple subsystems.

You will collaborate with flight software engineers to define test requirements, execute verification campaigns, and improve test coverage and reliability. This is a hands-on builder role focused on delivering robust test infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a STEM field such as CS/CE/EE/Aerospace.
• Experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks.
• Experience with CI/CD systems and Git.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and own software test frameworks for flight software stack and subsystems.
• Build and maintain automation tooling that integrates into CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop HIL/SIL test infrastructure in collaboration with flight software engineers.
• Create tooling for test execution, data collection, and anomaly triage.
• Reduce flaky tests and improve coverage, reliability, and speed.
• Collaborate to define test requirements and execute verification campaigns.
• Analyze results and drive resolution across the team.
• Maintain documentation for test infrastructure and configurations.
