Job summary

Kobie, a leader in loyalty, seeks a Software Development Engineer in Test to join our remote-friendly team. You will drive automation, shape test strategies, and partner with agile engineering squads to ensure reliable software across platforms.

As a Software Development Engineer in Test, you will mentor teams, implement testing best practices, and advance quality metrics. This role supports a flexible, growth-focused culture in a national setting.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years experience as a software developer, Software Developer in Test, or similar role.
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent, or analogous work experience.
• Fluency in software testing methodologies: white box, black box, unit, integration, functional, performance, etc.)
• Bias toward automation over manual testing with a proven track record automating complex software testing in real-world enterprise environments.
• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cypress, Playwright, Cucumber, Karate).
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps).
• Solid understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Enable teams by providing the environment and knowledge to run a robust quality program.
• Execute tests and automate where possible to improve confidence in software releases.
• Guide the engineering team on a continuous improvement journey for quality.
• Enable teams to test their own code through tooling, pilots, and education.
• Drive continual quality progress, earning high confidence from stakeholders and clients.
