Job summary

Amazon Robotics is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to design, build, and operate distributed systems at scale for manipulation workcells. The role focuses on real-time scoring, ML data pipelines, and end-to-end ownership within a high-velocity fulfillment environment.

You will collaborate with scientists and partner teams to translate research into production systems that drive throughput, quality, and cost improvements across thousands of workcells.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• Experience designing and building distributed systems or data-intensive applications.
• Experience with the full software development lifecycle: design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operations.
• Experience with ML infrastructure (training pipelines, model serving, feature stores, monitoring).

Responsibilities

• Build high-throughput, event-based scoring services across multiple workcells and warehouses.
• Design config-based annotation orchestration systems for ML data pipelines.
• Develop model deployment infrastructure spanning edge devices and cloud services.
• Build fleet monitoring systems using statistical methods to surface root causes.
• Own end-to-end system ownership from design to production operations.
