Job summary

Amazon in Bellevue, WA is seeking a Software Development Engineer for Robotics Development and Packaging Innovation. You will design, develop, deploy and support scalable real-time systems powering packaging workflows and ML-powered platforms used worldwide.

As an SDE, you will own end-to-end systems, collaborate with product managers, ML scientists, and cross-functional teams, and mentor junior engineers while driving architectural decisions for reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience (patterns, reliability, scaling).
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale distributed software applications and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Experience programming with at least one software language.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy intelligent packaging workflows and ML-powered platforms.
• Partner with product leaders, ML scientists, and cross-functional teams to influence roadmap decisions.
• Build and maintain core infrastructure, production services, and tools for packaging engines and fulfillment.
• Drive system architecture decisions ensuring code quality, reliability, and scalability.
• Coach and support junior engineers in building large-scale distributed systems.
